Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress from America. Known for her work in film and television from the mid-80s onwards, she has received various accolades like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett comes originally from New York New York. She was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett along with her sister and their mother were moved into St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. Their father had separated from their mom. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still at high school and decided that she was an actor and was looking to pursue. She was a student at Yale University New Haven Connecticut and graduated with a bachelor's degree (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a fellow actor and the two married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in 1980. Master in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the major parts in the action film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
